LP5024: supply modes

Part Number: LP5024

hi,

an important customer of mine is successfully evaluating the LP5024 vs IS31FL3216A.

We are expecting to power the chip from our 3.3V power rail, but the LEDs would be powered directly from battery voltage (after protection etc.).

However, the 3.3V rail is not always present (when the IC is in deep sleep). Is this mode of operation supported?

Or, in other words, when the IC won't be supplied, would the LED be OFF?

By the datasheet it seems the UVLO feature should keep the device in reset with very low current draw (leakage).

Some preliminary tests support that, but I want to make sure it is intended feature.

thanks a lot in advance

KR
