TPS23753A: Schematic review

Part Number: TPS23753A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PMP7355

Hi Team,

Please kindly help to review the schematic.

Many thanks

  • Hi Daniel,

Just confirming, is the output 5V/2A? If this is the case, I recommend looking at our tested & optimized PMP7355.

  • Hi Tom,

    The output is 5V, <500mA.
Please kindly give us some suggestions if there are any mistake on schematic.

    Many thanks
  • Hi Daniel,

    Here are my recommendations
    - Reduce R542 to 10ohms
    - PMP7355 is a tested & highly optimized solution, so consider copying the component values for the feedback & current sense circuits. On PMP7355, that would be R18, R20, C21, R28, R23, R22, R16, C22, C18, R21, C19, R19, & R24.
    - If they decide to use PMP7355 feedback & current sense values, output capacitance is sufficient, but can be lowered to 100uF to reduce cost.
    - Consider adding 39kohm to RCD clamp on primary of transformer (see R6 on PMP7355) if Vds ringing needs damping

Optionally, they can change the class resistor to 243ohms for class 1 (3.84W at PD input) since you only need to output 2.5W.
