BQ27220: Replacement battery the soc didn't change

hi,

 My device using the supercapacitor in parallel, when I replacement  a  battery with  different SOC, the SOC value of bq27220 gauge measured  didn't change .

1. Is there some method can detect the different battery insert.

2. If I detect the different battery insert,how can I revise the value of  SOC .
