What happens if the thermistor either fails, or loses thermal contact with the battery?

    Hello Arash,

    If the thermistor loses contact, the temperature reported will most likely be lower than it actually is. This means that the bq24295 would be operating under false assumptions regarding the battery's temperature. The bq24295 uses a hot/cold temperature profile; this means it won't be able to correctly disable/enable charge based on the temperature thresholds for the battery.
