Hi team,
Customer inquired UC3854 and IGBT broken issues following.
System was working perfect till it started breaking down the IGBTs (IXGH32N60B X2).
He has replaced the UC3854DW which he purchased from United States, Digi-Key.
Then system started working but it explodes the main electrolyte capacitors (1200uF 450V).
He changed the Caps and measured the output voltage on Caps; it goes up to 600V !!!
He has changed nothing.
He has rechecked all connections and parts, all are OK.
Actually he has not changed anything, only the UC3854.
He has put a variable resistor on Output Voltage Divider (instead of R42 20K) which feeds the UC3854 to lower the output voltage but it does not respond at all.
Attached pleas find the schematic of the Driver. Capacitor values are not correct as they are not measurable (SMD).
