TPS63070: TPS63070 output does not match with calculation

HI, I am working with a design using TPS63070.

The design requires Vin=6~10 V, and Vout =5.5V, with Load current of about 2A.

By using formula 6 from datasheet, also webbench, I got Rtop=590kOhm, Rbot = 100kohm.

When i put these resistors in the eval board TPS63070EVM (R1, R2), I got output of only 4.4V.

when i simulated in Web bench, the simulation shows only 2.6V output.

so what is wrong?

    Hi Feng,

    the TPS63070 has a limited startup current. Please try to startup with no load and apply the load after Vout settled.
    Webench reflects this behavior as well. Steady state sims will provide 5.5V with 2A Iout. However, if a high load is applied at startup will not work (with resistive load).
