Good evening,

I would like to ask if it is possible to realistically calculate the power efficiency of a TI dc-dc converter via the available ps-spice models; and if so, can you explain me how to correctly calculate the average input current (of the source) without knowing the exact switching frequency.

Hi Fotis,

For simulation purposes, you can use the designer tool (WEBENCH Designer) for your efficiency calculations available on the LMZM23600 product folder page.

This tool provides models and simulations that incorporate bench test results from the LMZM23600EVM. If the LMZM23600-ADJ power module is set to FPWM mode, then the default switching frequency is roughly 1MHz following Section 7.3 Electrical Characteristics.
