TPS7B63-Q1: Watchdog window time after fault

Part Number: TPS7B63-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS7B82-Q1, TPS3851-Q1, TPS3850-Q1

My customer need get Fault signal after stopping feed dog 30ms. I use standard watchdog and setting 30ms window. When getting fault signal, MCU will rest and Must run below 100ms. But customer afraid their MCU couldn't run scussfully and need get the second Fault signal below 100ms. So they have the second time to run again. But our device TPS7B6350 will continue 30ms*8=240ms then give the second fault signal.

customer requirment:

Watch dog period: >=10ms.

Window:35ms.

But need the the second fault signal below 100ms/2=50ms.

  • Any other device can meet this requirment, application is EPD/EPS. Can we change window times when getting fault signal .
  • Hi Wentao,

    My understanding of your application is that you want a watchdog period of 35 ms but want to adjust the time that the watchdog takes to reinitialize. I am not aware of a single chip solution for this application; however, a standalone watchdog supervisor with a LDO may work for your application. Please consider TPS7B82-Q1 and TPS3850-Q1 or TPS3851-Q1 to see if these will fit your application.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
