CSD19534KCS: RoHS compliant or RoHS by exemption?

Hi Texas Support Team,

could you please clarify the RoHS Status for this device? (in Material content search where two opinions given with the same part number)

Please be so kind and advise if this material is RoHS compliant or RoHS by exemption.

    Hello Steiner,

    This question comes up often and can be confusing. The device datasheet states that it is RoHS compliant but the TI website shows both RoHS compliant and RoHS exempt. Let me explain further. The CSD19534KCS uses leaded solder die attach internally and is RoHS compliant using exemption 7a as shown on page 16 of the attached document. So the part is both RoHS spec compliant and exempt per 7a in the attachment. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.RoHS EU Directive CELEX_32011L0065_EN_TXT.pdf
