BQ27426: can it be used in application with more than 2-S battery?

Hi,

I read the application note

"bq27426 Gauging Design for Applications With 2-S Li-Ion Battery" http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slua857/slua857.pdf

It says that we can use an OPA to measure voltage of 2-S battery.

Then I think it can be applied to n-S battery(n>2) as long as we adjust the voltage divide ratio, right?

Are there any concern that we emphasize 2-S Li-Ion Battery?

Hi Howard
That app note you referenced addresses your questions. you can use the device for a 2s application as described there. The device will see it just as a single cell due to the voltage divider
