Hi Sir,

May I learn from you, what is the junction temperature of TPS3803?

On the spec, there is only TA, but customer is looking for Tj.

Patrick,

Because our voltage supervisors are relatively low power, it is assumed that TA = Tj for all of our devices. We add this note into the datasheet for our newer devices.

Hi Michael,

On TPS3803 spec, there is a dissipation rating table, it shows that when TA=85 degree, there is still 167mW power dissipation, which mean its Tj should be higher than TA. Could you advise if we could provide a reference Tj to meet this table?

Patrick,

We make no difference between TA and Tj so all ratings that mention TA apply for Tj as well. This applies to operating temperature range as well. Please refer to the note under the ABS MAX table in this similar device: www.ti.com/.../tps3801.pdf

There is no table for Tj or data for Tj. We only provide TA and mention that TA = Tj.
