CCS/BQ76940: BQ76940 DEVICE_XREADY is "1"

Part Number: BQ76940

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

As we used the BQ76940,

When Reading the data in the SYS_STAT register, the data is 0x20,
That mean the 5th bit of the SYS_STAT register "DEVICE_XREADY" is 1, and this is  meaning that an error has occurred inside the chip. The data register reading value that causes the battery voltage and current is 0. and can't be reset
Please help analyze it.
we have checked the voltage of battery is no problem.

  • Hi Nan,
You have an XREADY condition. One of the groups has lost power or there is a voltage trapped on the TSx pins preventing proper start up. See other posts or the FAQ.
Check power at the BAT and VC10X pins.
Check for voltage across CAP2 and CAP3 capacitors
Check the connection of the thermistors, they must have a resistance and be connected to the appropriate reference.
