Hello Sir/Madam,

I am designing a power supply for below specifications using UCC28C45

Vin: 85-265V, 50Hz

Vout: 12V@5A.

Do I need to put a PFC after my input filter? If so why? When to put it and how to calculate its values?

Hello Vishal,
Whether you use a pfc or not depends entirely on your system design requirements.
You can generate 12V,5A from a 85-265Vac input directly with the UCC28C45 controller or you can use the UCC28C45 controller in combination with a pfc controller such as the UCC28050.
You can use the Webench tool software to help with your application
