Hello all,
Under the design window of the Fusion GUI, it gives the ability to specify the capacitors connected to your voltage rail. Is there a rule of thumb as to what capacitors are included or not included in the compensation circuit? What role does the distance from the PTD08Axxx device, capacitance and ESR plays in this decision? For example, one of my rails is voltage planes with 6 47 uf capacitors, 1 330 uf and 3 1000 uf capacitors. I have going with the assumption of including all these devices into the compensation calculations. I'm not sure if I'm hurting my design by doing this, so I was looking for some guidance.
Please advise,
Joe
