How can host(MCU) control device enter into shutdown mode with command?

Hi,

As I known,device(bq20z75) can enter into shutdown mode when write 0x0010 in Manufacturer Access.

but ,how can host(MCU) control device enter into shutdown mode with command? we can read FullChargeCapacity(0x10) register with SBS Cmd,but how can access the Shutdown(0x0010)?

Hi Libing,

The Shutdown command is one of the Manufacturer Access commands. Many commands for this device are in this category - please see Appendix A in the TRM (Technical Reference Manual) for instructions on using Manufacturer Access commands: www.ti.com/.../sluu310.pdf

Libing,

For Manufacture Access commands, you first execute the SBS command 0x00 and then you execute the Shutdown command 0x0010.

Yes, no data for the SBS command 0x00. I think the best thing would be to connect an oscilloscope or logic analyzer to the SMBus pins to observe to SMBus commands sent by BQStudio to the device EVM. This is the best way to learn how the different SMBus commands are structured.

Regarding the question about PACK CUV, this question has been asked by Jerry Zhu several times on multiple different threads on the E2E forum. Please allow someone to answer and do not duplicate the question. Each question will be answered by one of the device experts.
