Part Number: LP5907
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS730, , TPS793, TLV707P

Hi Team,

I am using LP5907MFX-1.8/NOPB for my application. But it is not available with most our vendors.

Could you please suggest an alternate part for the same(PIN Matching, Package matching,PCB is under production.

Regards

Hari

  • Hi Hari,

Can you provide a little more details about the application? Such as Vin/Iout? Also is there anything particularly needed from the LDO? Does it need Low IQ? Does it need low noise? We have a lot of devices and that would help narrow down the recommendation.

Currently I would like to recommend the following:

    TPS7A0518PDBVR for Low IQ

    TPS73218DBVR for low noise

    TLV75518PDBVR for higher current capabilities

    Best Regards,

    Wilson

  • Hi Wilson,

    Vin is 3.3V
    Vout 1.8V
    Iout max=175ma
This is used for audio application, used for powering level translators(3.3V t0 1.8V).
I think for this application(Audio) Low noise LDO will be good(please feel free to correct if I am wrong)

  • Hi Hari,

Thank you for providing me the information!

Some other low noise choices would be TPS793 and TPS730 which are also P2P with LP5907.

    Best Regards,

    Wilson

  • Hi Wilson,

    Thank you very much.

Genereally when selecting switcher/LDO for audio applications may I know what are the important parameters to be checked.

  • Hi Hari,

Generally we recommend devices with high PSRR during the audio frequency range and smaller package sizes due to most audio applications being board size constrained. LP5907 also comes in the X2SON package (1mm x 1mm) so it can deliver the same performance in a smaller size. If your customer is open to the X2SON package we also have TLV707P which is also suitable for this.

    Regards,

    Wilson
