See form technical document that the Q3-Q4 is 15 and 100 Amp. what will be the practical maximum continuous charge and discharge current for bq40z80EVM-020 eval kit, ( look away from batteries capacity and the charger capacity just the eval circuit isolated)

When will the chip Bq40z80 be available for sale.

Hi, thanks for the question. The board is designed with 1oz copper, and to keep temperatures below 50C, the continuous current should be less than 12A.

I guess 12 Amp is the max discharge, How about the charge. Is this the same or it depended on the Q1-Q5. (-8.5 Amp)
Out of curiosity if I want more discharge current and charge current( 30 Amp discharge and 20 Amp charge), Will a heat sink do the job?.
I wrote Q3 and Q4 but I ment Q2 and Q3. Will the right approach be to change Q2 to a more current capacity and get a heat sink on?
and also get a heat sink on the Q3 it seem like this not need to be changed since it 100Amps. Of course change it to a one with heatsink mounting (TO 220 like).
I also see that Q1-Q5 is -8,2 A ( this maybe has to do with the charge part). Will these also need to be changed to more capacity?
It doesn't look like any one else need to be changed than q2-q3 and q1-q5?.

To use the board with higher current, you could solder a heavier gauge wire on the CHG/DSG path to handle the current.
