Linux: Linux: BQ27220 - How to enter shutdown mode

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27220

Tool/software: Linux

Dear Experts,

How can I let BQ27220 enter shutdown mode?

I want to stop all behavior of BQ27220, expecially I want to avoid "fuel gauging and data update ever 1s".

We measured there is voltage spike every 1s on "BIN" pin, and this will affect we measure battery thermal.

Thus, we are trying to stop this behaviior, is this possible? (let bq27220 into shutdown mode)

What registers can I set to let BQ27220 enter shutdown mode or stop "fuel gauging and data update ever 1s"???

Every 1s, there is spike waveform (as below) unless we remove BQ27220.

Thanks

HB

  • hi,
No there is no shutdown option on this gauge according to TRM of the gauge. also, bear in min d that if the the gauge is reset due to power loss, it looses passed charge data and FCC would have to be relearn. This is not the best way. B
    thanks
