Hi,

        What's the device (BQ40Z50-R1 ) CUV protection function work principle ? is Pack pin just detectting pack voltage?

        DSGFET will turn off  When Pack pin detected pack voltage below CUV threshold?

    TRM do not have more instructions about PACK PIN

    CUV means Cell Undervoltage Protection. What we consider is cell voltage, not pack voltage.

    Please refer to section 2.2 in our TRM. www.ti.com/.../sluubk0b.pdf

    You can see detail how's trip and rework condition.

    Why CUV do not effective ,if I disconnect the pack pin and P+?(BQ40Z50-R1)

    How to work of the pack pin?

    My circuit design as below:

        Charge and discharge circuit is separate,p+ is connected PACK Pin with R56(10K),CH+ is connected PACK Pin with R8(10K),

        if R56 did not weld,CUV protection funtion did not work,p+ did not turn off.

        if R56 and R8 all weld,CUV protection funtion did not work, and p+ turn off immediately then open again. please see the attachment video.

         if R56  weld,but R8 did not weld, CUV protection funtion work normal.

    Why is that? Thanks!

    According to my understanding,when connect pack pin(pin 27)and ch+ with R8(as my circuit),CUV can also work normal,DSGFET can also be truned off,but actually did not .dsgfet can not be turned off ,and even the DSG Mos tube be burned out.Why?
