TPS63031: Why the TPS63031 is showing VOUT = 1V when the ENABLE PIN is set LOW (shutdown mode) ?

Part Number: TPS63031

Hi Support,

We found out that our BuckBoost (TPS63031) is showing 1V output voltage when we set the ENABLE PIN to LOW. As showed in the datasheet, the shutdown mode is set when the enable pin is low.

Our design is as below:

Thanks you.

  • Hello Samir,

as soon the output capacitors are discharged you should measure 0V, if EN=Low.
Does this phenomenon happen on multiple devices?
Could you share the layout for a cross check?
Do you have any output load attached?

I see there is a 75Ohm resistor between VIN and VINA. Please remove this as it is not needed. The TPS63031 has an internal 100ohm already.

    regards,
    Julian
  • Hi Samir,

Were you able to resolve your problem?

If not, could you please answer to the questions Julian posted?

    Best regards,
