LM2678: TI Thinks Resolved LM2678: LM2678SX-5.0/NOPB is supposed to output +5.0 vdc

Hello All
Greetings!!!!!!
We have designed switcher using LM2678-5.0 for 5A.
Input Maximum  voltage: - 30V DC using battery pack
Please see attached schematic design photo.

We need suggestion for my major component selection right or not, please find below component specification.

Inductor Part Number:- Mfr. No: SER2918H-223KL 22 uH/28A OR MSS1210-223MED/6.7A

Please suggest which inductor part will be use full for our switcher We need to require 5V/5A constant output.

    Hello Hardik,

    The SER2918H-223KL 22 uH appears better since saturation current is comfortably above the LM2678's current limit value.

    According to Webench, the LM2678 will not support your specifications due to excessive junction temperature.

    The LM22678 should be OK.  Or the LM73605, with max input of 30V should also be OK.

    we need one more help please conform  this IC  LM2678 as per our requirement   suitable or not please see below specification.


    Please consider if our battery voltage decrease 30V from 24 V or 20 V output is not change

    1) Input Maximum Voltage :-30 V from lithium iron battery bank 

    2)Output Voltage is 5V/5A DC  Constant and accurate  as per our requirement  

    please give your valuable input regarding for same

    Based on Webench if you can arrange your input voltage range to 12V to 24V, then the LM2678 should be OK.

    I have attached the Webench design.
