BQ40Z60: Is bq40z60 a slave or a master?

Hi,

I am wondering if the bq40z60 is working in slave mode or in master mode when communicating with MCU. According to the datasheet and technical reference, bq40z60 is working in master mode which is a very rare situation according to my friend. So, I come here for the answer.

Hi Kaiwen,

The BQ40Z60 operates as a slave most of the time. However, it can broadcast to a smart charger in master mode if you enable this feature - please see section 4.11 of the BQ40Z60 TRM (Technical Reference Manual). www.ti.com/.../sluua04d.pdf

I have one more question. What is the i2c Slave Address of BQ40Z60? I did not find it in the TRM.
