Can i use UCC28051 in 1kw  battery charger application

INPUT: 110 - 280V

OUTPUT: 420V

    Hi Shivam,

    Thanks for your interest in UCC28051. This controller is for a single phase transition mode PFC which is typically used up to 300W. The reason single phase transition mode is not used at higher power levels is the peak current in the inductor and MOSFET will be very large. At 1kW, I would recommend taking a look at UCC28070. This is an interleaved CCM PFC and has a successful history of use for 1kW PFC.
