BQ25504: MPPT is different from bq25570 re tying voc_samp to vstor for 80% app?

Part Number: BQ25504
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25570,

The data sheets for bq25504 and bq25570 differ for the feature: maximum power point tracking.  If you tie voc_samp pin to vstor, the bq25504 data sheet says it "disables" MPPT, while the bq25570 data sheet says it gives 80% MPPT e.g. for a solar cell.  I just want to confirm that the two parts are different in this regard.  In other words, if you want 80% MPP, on the bq25504 you must use a resistor network on voc_samp pin, while on the bq25570 you can omit the resistor network.
