TPS61282: TPS61282 Load regulation Question.

Part Number: TPS61282

Dear Sir/Ms.

I would like to ask, TPS61282A's output tolerance, spec marked -2%~4% in auto mode

1. Is this tolerance suitable for use at a temperature of -40 to 85 degrees?
2. Is the -2% to 4% tolerance applicable to DC pumping with hypothesis 2A?

Best Regards,

Kami Huang

  • Hi Kami,

Output accuracy spec is  -2%~4%, test condition is -40 to 125degrees. Iout=0mA. Please see my highlight part.

  • Hello Jing,
I have already told the customer the same answer before consulting with you. The customer is not satisfied with the answer. The customer's system requirements are that the voltage will not fall below 2% when the load is being carried. Here is a special description of the customer's application specifications. Vin = 3.3V, Vout = 3.5V. What is the voltage of the TPS61282A after it is fully loaded?
    Best Regards,
    Kami Huang
  • Hi Kami,

we have DC output voltage vs. output current graph in the D/S.

Fig55, because reference voltage is different between PWM mode and PFM mode, there is some different between light load(PFM) and heavy load(PWM). If customers don't want PFM, they can connect MODE pin to high to set FPWM.

Fig56, because of current limit, output will drop.

  • Hello Jing,
I got customer's reply as following.
Spec is marked with a number of pieces of verification data, but when a large number of times, so the output of the IC is keep -2% of the tolerance, and is it also -2% at -40 to 85?
    Best Regards,
    Kami Huang
  • Hi Kami,
EC table: Output accuracy spec is -2%~4%, test condition is -40 to 125degrees. if your working condition is -40 to 85, we can guarantee Output accuracy spec is -2%~4%.
