BQ25703A: PGND or GND for VDDA

Part Number: BQ25703A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25703

Hello,

i am wondering, which Ground to use for the capacitor at the VDDA Pin on a BQ25703.

The Datasheet says under 6 Pin Functions to use PGND and shows in 9.1 Typical Application GND. In The EVM bq2570x it is also tied to GND.

I surmise, that the VDDA voltage is also used for meassurement of the input current over the shunt and so it would be better to tie it to PGND.

Best Regards and Thanks

  • Hello Philipp,

I have informed our systems team of this discrepancy and it will be corrected in next revision of the datasheet. Please follow the evaluation module and tie to GND instead of PGND as our system-level (bench) validation is done using the EVM.

    Regards,
    Steve
