LMG5200: I could not use the LMG 5200.

LMG3410R050: Need add additional Body diode when customer use LMG3410 to design for motor drive?

  Hi team,

        As we known, our LMG3410 Integrated GaN. But we can’t find Body diode in our internal chip.  Customer want to know if they need add additional Body diode when they design for motor drive.

    Hi Eggsy,

    LMG3410 series does not have body diode. Due to this structure it does not have reverse recovery which is caused by a PN junction. However, it can still conduct from source to drain with higher voltage drop. Therefore, no extra diode is needed in motor drive case, and as long as the dead time is controlled well, it should not bring too much extra loss to the circuit. Hope it helps!
