I am designing battery monitoring system(bms) for lead acid batteries for which I have already placed order for evaluation board 2400 and different ic bq34110 as well as bq34z100.
I am waiting for the delivery but mean while I have few questions. incase I am missing on something , I can order right away and don't have to wait for another week
I am planning to install bms on 12v 150ah which is connected to UPS (server application). along with voltage , current I am keen on measuring impedance or resistance of battery .
1) is bq34z100 the best IC to measure impedance track of lead acid batteries ?
2) in TI point of view is impedance track value same/more accurate /.different in comparison with bq34110 (CEDV)? FOR UPS rarely discharge application which wil be the best choice?
3) battery market always busy debating which is better method for predictive analysis ie midtronic is supports impedance/conductance whereas alber support dc resistance? what is TI view on this ? bq34z100 & bq34110 will be similar to which technology ?
4) after reading all the tech document , can I assume both IC is putting million ohms (20mohns) load to perform this test . is it possible to increase this load hence current?
