Please let me know how much your DC and peak discharge current. For peak discharge current, how much is the duration? Can you hook up the discharge current on BAT directly?

Standalone
Maximum charge current >2.5Amp
USB/AC 5V input
Battery discharge MOSFET control peak current > 16Amp.

Hi, with 16A peak current. I would suggest to have the load connected to BAT. I do not have a good idea to add additional FET. When additional FET is added, the discharge current is distributed between internal and external and may trigger internal OCP.
