TPS2549: How to handle CTL pins

Part Number: TPS2549

Hi team,

I have a question how to handle CTL pins.

In datasheet, it is written that "These pins tie directly to IN or GND without a pullup or pulldown resistor."

It must fix CTL to High or Low.

In other words, it can not be switched to active with the GPIO of the CPU while operating.

It can not pull up or pull down with resistance.

Is this correct?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Tomoaki-san,

The CTL signals may be driven by the CPU during operation and are allowed to change. If they are changed while the TPS2549 is operational, then the TPS2549 may disconnect the Databus or discharge the VBUS according to the datasheet.

It is also possible to fix the CTL pins with pull-up/pull-down resistors.

    Either configuration is supported.
