LM3481: LM3481 Flyback Evaluation module circuit simulation in TINA

Part Number: LM3481

Hi dear,

I am trying to simulate the circuit of LM3481 Flyback Evaluation module in TINA TI.   I download  the TI-TINA model from TI official website  and I haven't modified  it.  However, the  driver output  is abnormal , which is marked in red pen in the diagram. Besides, the voltage of COMP signal reaches 2.67V,  is it normal?

Can you please let me know that where I am making a mistake and how I can simulate this design?

The TI-TINA model of the circuit is attached herewith.

Kind regards LM3481 TINA-TI Steady State Reference Design.tsc

  • Hi Jianfei,

Thank you for your considering the LM3481. What you observed is the subharmonic oscillation that implies the lack of slope compensation. Increase the inductor to 30uH requires smaller slope compensation and the subharmonic will be eliminated.

Please read the datasheet especially the section about the slope compensation, and adjust the circuit accordingly.

    Thanks,
