TPS65950 in vehicle

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65950

Hi,

Please check for me the best solution for the following:

We are using the TI TPS65950 in vehicle terminal.

The terminal includes internal and external microphones and speakers.

The internal microphone of the terminal is connected to ANA_MIC and the external to the Headset.(pins E3, F3)

I would like to know how we can get the best results using this (pins E3, F3) input.

The HSMIC input doesn't have AGC- Is it critical?

Should we use in the input:

Microphone only, Microphone connected to amplifier or Microphone connected to another codec?

If you suggest using Microphone amplifier or another codec please advice low cost type.

Best regards

Shlomi

  • Hi Shlomi,

I am not sure if I understand your query correct.

Are you asking if an external mic amplifier is required?

Your input and output connections seems ok. the gain settings etc really depend on what the customer requirements. On the input side you have mic input -> amp -> ADC -> filters. This is the typical uplink path.

I dont see any need for any external components as amplifier or codec.

    Gandhar.
