Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPL7407LA, ULN2003A
I want to use this power switch to switch between different LED strings. Is this unit capable of transferring the PWM pulses (~0.9A) to drive the LEDs
best regards
Kurt

Hi Kurt,
Thanks for the clarification. For driving inductive loads or multiple LEDS, we typically recommend our low side drivers (like the TPL7407LA). Our low side switches have an integrated flyback diode for inductive kickback, and are available in multi-channel versions (7ch/8ch) for driving multiple inductive loads or LEDs with one switch.
At your operating voltage and frequency, I think the TPL7407LA or the ULN2003A would be good options. Let me know what you think!

Hi Arthur,
thanks for your reply. your suggestion is good, but my only question is, there is a resistor to GND (for current sensing) so the GND for the TPL7407LA will be
~300mV higher.
Is that ok, to operate the chip like that?
best regards
Kurt
Hi Kurt,
I don't see any issue with this as long as you still remain within the operating specifications of the TPL7407LA. Also make sure that the resistor can handle the current you're expecting to pass through the device.
Thanks,
Arthur Huang
