I want an eFuse to protect my I/O interface to the micro-controller. The load device will be a 24VDC 33W solenoid valve. Is the TPS1663 or TPS2663 the correct eFuse for this application or is there a better eFuse for this application? Also when will these devices and evaluation kits be available?

Can you provide the below requirements for the eFUSE?

Maximum and Minimum Input Voltage.
Maximum Load Current (from output of eFUSE) (< 2A or higher)
Protection features required (Undervoltage, Overvoltage, Overload/Overcurrent, Revere polarity protection)

Hello Paul,

For the requirement of overload and over current protection only, TPS1663 would be suitable. if other protection features like input reverse polarity and reverse current blocking are also required, TPS2663 would be suitable.
