TLV62568: light load noise

Dear expert,

We are facing noise issue in light load condition with TLV62568.

Can I increase output inductor up to 10uH and parallel a Cff with RFB_top? I would like to avoid device enter in power save mode.

Did we have FCCM device which P2P with TLV62568 SOT-23(5)? 100mA output current capability is good enough.

Hi Ben,
you could use the TLV62568A version of this device it is always in forced PWM mode

Hi Sabrina,

Thanks for your feedback. But P2P is needed, TLV62568A don't have SOT-23(5) package.

Did we have other solution which is FPWM and P2P with TLV62568?

The other solution would be to add a dummy load to avoid the device to enter PSM

Hi Sabrina,

I have tried to increase output inductor value to 10uH. And it can avoid controller enter in PFM in our light load condition.

Are there any risk if 10uH output inductor is designed in there system?

HI Ben,

This converter is not designed to operate with 10uH inductor, means no verification is done to asses the risk when operating with 10uH. I would not recommend to do so.

I would suggest to either use a dummy load to avoid entering PSM mode or use TLV62568A which is p2p compatible to TLV62568 in SOT563 package
