BQ25892: bq25892 : role of the CE pin

Part Number: BQ25892

Hello Team ,

can you please let me know which mosfet shall be cut of making the CE pin high .

Also i want a way in which on a particular condition , the uC should be able to put the BQ25892 in such a condition that the voltage of the VBus is not allowed to go to the SYS pin .

How do we ensure the above , which register / pin can be used to realize above function .

  • Shreenidhi,

When /CE pin is high, the BATFET, Q4, only allows current flowing out to SYS, not into battery from SYS to BAT.

With /CE high, the buck converter output maximum is the VBAT+50 mV if V(BAT) > SYSMIN and VSYSMIN+150mV if V(BAT) > SYSMIN. SYSMIN maximum register setting is 3.7V.

To completely disable the buck converter, you can use the HiZ bit (REG00b7). If this mode, the battery powers the system.
