TPS3808-Q1: TPS3808-Q1 CT pin discharge current

Part Number: TPS3808-Q1

Hi support team,

My customer intended to use TPS3808-Q1 in their design and wants to know what is the internal discharge current of the CT cap when the RESET is asserted?

Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,

Wei-Hao

  • Wei-Hao,

The CT capacitor is discharged very quickly when the reset is asserted, and when the undervoltage condition is removed, the CT capacitor charges up to 1.23V via an internal 220nA current source to set the reset delay before reset is released. We do not provide the discharge current but we do provide the minimum pulse width on SENSE to trigger a reset as 20 us. This gives enough time for the capacitor to discharge back to zero in order to charge up to set the reset delay again.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you.
