Hi.
The device we are designing has a LiPo battery and we are looking for the charger that suits best for our purposes.
We pretend to charge the battery at 1.2 - 1.5 A so we are focus now on BQ24075-Q1, that seems that fits our needs.
I have read that when this device is only operate with battery there is a drop of 50 - 100 mV on the OUT vs the battery voltage. Since our device is portable and a long battery life is a key feature, is it relevant this dropout in terms of efficiency? The current along our device is about 25-35 mA.
If BQ24075-Q1 is not the best battery charger for our device, can you recommend us another one? The only requirements are to be able to charge the battery at 1.5 A and the lowest power consumption possible when the device is running only with battery.
Thank you.
