Hello，Dear，TI Members，

I am a employee in a battery-packing-factory in china,I have a question about the format of OTFS file for bq27411-g1. now, we would like to develop a solution to program bq27411 for the production line using our i2c tool. so I want to know more details about OTFS file. i have spend several days on it, and the difficulty mainly focus on the bytes followed by the slave address--0x16 .for example:

W: 16 00 21 00 00 00 5F 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 CB D4 1A 05 1C 98 02 D3 FF B9 30 EF 03 71 05 01 00 ..........

0x16 is the slave address for rom mode.

0x00 is register command

0x5F is a count for the bytes followed.

so. how about "21 00 00 00 " ???

I have got the files your provided some days ago, and i understood it well. but it didn't describe the detail about the bytes in .OTFS. such as it for .srec, we know it well,using I2C to write the flash bytes to 0x4000 ~ 0x5FFF . however it is not clear for otfs. could your provide me some info about this.
OK, another question, How should I verify a programmed chip? as you know ,I am building a tool for the production line, it's important to ensure that every chip is programmed correctly.

Hello,Onyx,

another confusion, and need your help. as attached picture , i programmed a chip using the source OTFS, and export a OTFS using this chip by bqstudio. and find there is something different between these two files. I am quiet confused. I search the datasheet , the different byte mean---"update status",why it changed to 0x80? how i know when it is correct? thanks and happy your thank-giving's day.

Update Status is a dynamic parameter that the gauge will change based on gauging history. It is expected to change.
