TPS62203 Output high current is drawn around 130mA without load

Application: Duracell alkaline battery of full voltage of 1.6 V x 4 no's is used as input with load current of 1mA to 100mA.

When used IC SW pin to GND pin the resistance is 15 to 30 Ohm in failed Regulator but output is 3.3V

Pl. suggest the reason why the current drawn is high.

    Could you please elaborate a bit more on the working conditions of this power supply?

    A schematic that indicates the current and voltages values would help.

    Anyways, if you are using 4x1.6V (nominal), it means you are close to the abs max Vin of the device. I suppose that your connection from the battery pack is quite long, so the risk of overshoots is really high. You could share the schamatic and layout with me so that we can review if there is some problem there.
