TPS53319: There is a question about the function of constant on time in the small-signal mode.

Part Number: TPS53319

Hi,

Resently, I have read your application report SLUA730, the small signal mode of COT controlled buck converter is analyzed. There is a little difference about the function of constant on time written in this report and that of SLVA546. Honestly, I don't know which one is the right one and why they are considered like these. Besides, the Eq.1 in SLUA730 is an approximate equation, which approximation is this?

Best regards,

Tintin

  • Hello,

SLUA730 is for the DCAP. SLVA546 is for DCAP2 (basically implement the RCC network in the IC). Since you are interested in TPS53319, it is best to follow SLUA730.

The sampling function or zero-order-hold has been approximate by the second order transfer function to reduce the complexity.
