Hello.

We have built a BMS for a 48V battery module using BQ76PL455AQ1 along with TMS570LS0432 MCU. We are now attempting to connect two of these units in a daisy chain for a 96V battery pack (two 48V in series). I am attempting to understand the functioning of Differential Daisy Chain stacking in BQ76PL455A-Q1. I have read through the available information in the datasheet (Section 7.3.10). However, I still do not have a clear understanding and would like to understand its functioning better. Could you please guide me to an application note/any other document explaining how this works?

For more information regarding the physical/circuit implementation of the Daisy-Chain stacking, please refer to section 8.1.2.2 of the BQ76PL455A-Q1 Datasheet (link: www.ti.com/.../bq76pl455a-q1.pdf) and section 13 of the "bq76PL455A-Q1 Design Recommendations" (link: www.ti.com/.../slua791a.pdf).

For more information regarding creating code for the stack communications, please refer to the "Getting Started with the bq76PL455A-Q1 Example Code" document (link: www.ti.com/.../slva635.pdf).

Let me know if these documents/excerpts suffice!
