BQ27426: ROM vs Flash Based - Decision regarding error in Chem ID

Part Number: BQ27426

Hello,

I am writing to know which would be a reasonable limit in the error for the CHEM_ID for choosing a ROM Type over Flash Type. I have already tested with 2 batteries and the following is the best I got:

Best CHEM ID - 1210 (error = 0.75)

Best ROM type device - Bq27426 (1202, error = 1.23).

The battery is not going to be user replaceable and we have already developed most of the firmware for another ROMgauge (to store the learning cycles). So, I would say if testing results continue the same with other batteries we are testing these days, I am going to choose the ROM Type gauge. It is going to simplify the Manufacturing as well.

Thanks for your help.
