I'm currently testing a circuiti with BQ34Z100-G1 in a new application with a 24S1P NiMH battery pack, where the battery is continuously subject to charge and discharge cycles.
I've selected the proper ChemID from the database and I've run the learning cycle for obtaining the correct (I hope!) golden file.
While testing the battery pack in real application with charge/dscharge cycles (6h+6h) I note the BQ34Z100-G1 performs continuous updates of the Full Charge Capacity parameter value during the charging phase.
Is that behaviour correct?
In documentation about Impedance Track algorithm (e.g. SLUA450) it seems during charging phase the algorithm does not perform any update, so I'm not sure everything is going well.
The following graph reports Full Charge Capacity and SOC data during a couple of cycles (the nominal Battery capacity is 11000mAh):
