TPS92691

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92691
  1.  When the TPS92691 uses PWM dimming, must the N-channel and P-channel mos be used at the back of the circuit? Is it possible to add only one N-channel MOS to the main circuit, and the gate is directly connected to the DDRV?
    2. In addition, use PWM dimming to continuously change the PWM duty cycle to adjust the brightness, and analog dimming to adjust the brightness, which one would you think is more reliable?

  • Hi Jeffrey,

I don't fully understanding your description on number 1 above.  Can you please send a schematic for what you are describing?

On number 2:  Both PWM or analog diming will adjust brightness.  If you do analog there can possibly be color shift in the LED but it does not require the PWM FET.  What is the max current you are trying to control and what is the lowest average current are you planning to adjust to?

    Thanks Tuan

  • Hi Jeffrey,

I have not heard back from you so I believe you may have solved the issue.
The thread will close now but will reopen if you reply.

    Thanks Tuan
