TPS43060: parallel application to implement ORing and current sharing

Hi expert,

My customer has a question on TPS43060 parallel application. They have two power supplies and want to implement two power stage for one 12V system. They are wondering if we can use TPS43060 to achieve two power stages / ORing application (using high side MOSFET body diode in DCM) / current balancing. Could you kindly help on this case? Thanks a lot!!

    Hi Ann,

    TPS43060 is synchronous boost, I'm afraid there may be reverse current if the output is connected together directly. I would suggest adding a schottky diode at the output of each device.

    what is the output power of the 12V system? any sequence in the PSU1 and PSU2?
