TPS61088: Solution for wide input range boost

Hi Team,

Recently we got customer request that they want to look for a boost solution, the source is super cap 4 cells with each cell 3V, so the full voltage is 12V.

But customer hope to use as much the super cap as possible, thus the requirement:

Vin= 2V~12V

Vout= 12V/2A

Seems our TPS61088 can support this. Not sure do we have a solution for this? Discrete solution is also ok if not very complex. Thanks for the support!

    Hi Sulyn,

    TPS61088 can't support Vin too close to the Vout application, for the 12V output, the Vin should be no higher than 10V. And TPS61088 also can't support 2Vin,12V/2A output power, it is too high for TPS61088.

    Suggest you use boost controller instead of TPS61088.
