Can I access the 0x54(sbs cmd)register,if the device in the sealed mode?

Hi,TI experts,

I have a few questions to ask you.

   1. Can I access the 0x54(sbs cmd)register (not the 0054 ManufacturerAccess register ),if the device in the sealed mode?

   2. What scenarios are these 3 modes applied to(sealed, unsealed, full access)? What are the specific differences of them?

3.Is there any risk if the battery has been used in unsealed mode?

Thanks!

  • Yes, you can read it.
    sealed, df is not accessible
unsealed, df is accessible but device is not programmable or put in fw update mode.
full access, all df and ram portions are accessible. device fw can be programmed.

risks in unseal mode during production use is that any and all parameters can be changed in df.
