TPS62065: If TJ(junction temperature) has a margin on the d/s

Hi team,

Recently my customer UAES has a question about the TJ, They want to know if there's some margin left for the maximum value of TJ(125℃).

Because they want to do a test under the condition of ambient temp=85℃. So they have some concerns about the maximum TJ value. Through the Webench simulation we found the IC temperature is 105℃, but customer did not believe the simulation result.

So could you please tell us if the TJ maximum value has a margin ?

Hi Jessica,

it's my pleasure to support you.
As you already may know, the datasheet table of recommended operating conditions states the Temperature range where the it is guaranteed that the device is working properly. So, max Tj value is already the margin above which the correct working operations is not guaranteed.

I think though that 85 degC it's a more than reasonable Tamb.
