LP8556: Burst transmission

Part Number: LP8556

Hi

My customer has question.

Is it no problem to burst transfer to LP 8556?

The customer wants to write at a stroke by burst transfer.
Also, at this time, "Write Only" or "Unused Register" is also written, but is there a problem?

Regard

  • Hi,
What's the meaning of "burst tranfder to LP8556"? Can you give me a detail description about your application? yes, it's ok to write to "write only" and "unused register".
    regards

  • Hi Sean

    Thank you for reply.

"burst transmission" was supposed to write "register data" one after another.

And,"unused register" is an understanding that includes the following, is not it?
    · Readnly (0x01, 0x02)
    · RESERVED
    • Unused registers (0x99 to 0x9D, 0x9F, 0xB0 to 0)

  • Hi T,
No there are some hidden regs for internal configuration, you can't just write the unused regs as you mentioned as above. So please just write the resg that listed on datasheet and there may be some issue when you write some data to some internal used regs. Please be careful. thanks.
